What is ⚡ Lite Mode?

Turn on Lite Mode to batch transcribe at our lowest rate when jobs are eligible. Jobs will only be billed once you’ve used your free minutes for the month.

To turn Lite Mode on, visit the Billing section of the Portal.

  • With Lite Mode on, your data may be retained to help improve Speechmatics services.

  • With Lite Mode on, jobs may take longer if the service is busy.

  • With Lite Mode on, a job will only be charged at the lower rate if the job configuration is also Lite Mode eligible.

  • With Lite Mode on, if your job configuration isn't Lite Mode eligible - your data won't be retained.

What is Lite Mode eligible?

  • Standard accuracy only.

  • English, Spanish, French and German transcription only. 'Auto' Language Identification is not eligible for Lite Mode.

  • Without Custom Dictionary, Speaker Diarization or Channel Diarization.

What is Standard vs Enhanced?

We offer two proprietary transcription models available to all customers:

  • Standard - great for users and transcripts where speed is a priority, with accuracy trade-offs as a result.

  • Enhanced - when unbeatable accuracy is a must-have, our Enhanced model provides best-in-class accuracy across all of our languages.

Different models can be used for different jobs, so can be tailored for the specific needs of the task.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Definitely! If you will be sending large volumes of content (over 5,000 hours per year) through our technology, then we'd love to speak with you and provide a volume discount.

How does billing work?

We bill on the 1st of each month for the previous months usage. Users then have 15 days to pay.

What happens when I reach my free hours limit?

Simply add your credit card details in the "manage billing" section of the portal to increase your usage.
